Devil's Courthouse Trail

This hike was off the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Southern Shining Rock Wilderness of Pisgah National Forest. Due to heavy fog earlier in the day, we completed this as a separate hike after the earlier, longer hike to Sam Knob and Black Balsam Knob. The trail is a steep incline initially along a paved path from the parking area then transitioning into a very rocky trail to the overlook . The 360 degree views from Devil's Courthouse were truly beautiful and worth the extra effort. A visit at any time of the year would be rewarding. Today's Hikers: Matt Henderson & Mike Bell
