Opossum Creek Waterfall Trail near Long Creek, SC

What a beautiful day for a hike with sunny skies and cool, fall temperatures. The trail was in very good condition and we encountered no blowdowns. Despite the 800+ feet of climbing on the return from visiting Opossum Creek Falls, the incline is only steep during the first quarter of the return trail. There were no significant wildflowers, but we did see some display of fall colors in the overhead cover. Overall this was a fairly easy hike on a very nice day. Show less
