Our parking spot for the hike. We head southward to Gooch Mountain. It is always nice to meet thru-hikers! Here we meet Andrew Oliver from Maine (a little more than 20 miles into his 2,200 mile journey). The hike today was very rolling with several significant climbs. There were some nice views, despite the clouds and fog. We reach Gooch Gap at 3.5 miles. We had lunch at the Gooch Mountain Shelter (5 mile mark of today's hike) The OFHC gang for today's hike.
