This was an exploratory hike to find the alternate trail to Tabor Falls that was noted in the Georgia Waterfalls Index. It's an old, unmarked roadbed off of Georgia Mountain Orchard Rd that has been blocked by a couple of berms to prevent truck and ATV traffic. The trailhead has been flagged with a double wrap of orange survey tape. Once on the trail, its path is obvious through the clearing of trees through the pine forest. It is in excellent condition and joins with the established Tabor Falls trail on the east side of an unnamed creek feeding and just above Tabor Falls. There is one steep. 0.5-mile incline in and out of the creek on the west side of the creek. There is adequate parking for 3-4 vehicles along the road at the trailhead. Today's hiker: Mike Bell
