Bartram Trail - Pinnacle Mtn.
Trail information
Our hike today began at the Warwoman Dell picnic area parking lot East of Clayton, GA on Warwoman Road. The Bartram Trail Northward led us past Becky Branch Falls on a nice woodland hike continuing past Martin Creek Falls and on up to the Summit of Pinnacle Mountain for some awesome views. (the Pinnacle Mtn. portion is a spur trail off of the Bartram Trail and is marked with white blazes.) Total hike today - 8 miles. Another beautiful hiking day! Partly cloudy skies with temps ranging from 30-48 degrees F. This trail is relatively hilly with one strenuous climb up to the top of Pinnacle. It is well worth the effort with great views!

During the first mile, we crossed the foot-bridge at Becky Branch Falls. The first 2.5 miles of the hike includes lots of nice mountain streams and creeks. Even on a cool December day, our lab "Jet" enjoys a splash in the creek! Beautiful Martin Creek Falls! Our group at the observation deck at Martin Creek. One of the views from Pinnacle Mountain! View 2. View 3 The view from Pinnacle down to Camp Pinnacle. The OFHC Gang for today!
