Trail information

Our hike on the Appalachian Trail today began at Tesnatee Gap. On Hwy 348 North of Helen, GA. We hiked to Cow Rock and beyond towards Neel's Gap. Hiking distance 8+ miles. Another beautiful hiking day! Partly cloudy 55-68 degrees F. Great views in the Cow Rock area! Wildflowers viewed - Closed Gentian, White Snakeroot, Wood Asters, Phlox, Heal-All, Lady's Thumb. Fauna identified - Pileated Woodpecker, Carolina Wren, Junco
