This is the trail head located just over the state line into N.C. above Tate City, GA. The trail starts off along the Tallulah River. April 1st - icicles along the trail! We hiked through several stretches of snow! Climbing up the steep mountain above Case Knife Gap. Hard to believe that this is April! The breathtaking view from the top of Standing Indian Mountain! On top of Standing Indian Mtn. - Jonquils in snow! We had lunch with a thru-hiker from New York. (front left) Steve Czompo (trail name "Starbuck") . Steve is approximately 85 miles into his thru-hike to Maine.
