The trail head at Panther Creek Park on old HWY 441 near Tallulah Falls, GA. This popular trail is beautiful as it follows Panther Creek for most of the distance. It is an easy trail despite a few rocky areas where extreme caution must be taken. Fairly early in the hike, Panther Creek takes a noisy, rapid tumble down a long rock crevice. There are many nice views of Panther Creek all along the trail. There are several areas with large rock outcroppings. This one has a large tree growing on top of the rock ledge. Beautiful Panther Creek Falls at 3.5 miles. Look closely and you can see some of our group standing on a large rock at the top of the falls. A small lunchtime campfire helps us warm up after our cold morning hike.
