Standing Indian Mountain via Deep Gap

A cool and misty, almost rainy hike, but the weather improved as the day went on to where the views from Standing Indian Mountain began to appear as we ate lunch there. The trail is not a steep incline, but is very rocky and rooty throughout making the hike moderately difficult. While not a lot of wildflowers, the trail was lined with Bluets for most of the way making it a pleasant sight. FS 71 continues to be in good condition making access to the Deep Gap trailhead a long, but fairly easy drive. All-in-all, a very good hike!
