Jack's Knob Trail from Jack's Gap to Chattahoochee River Headwaters

Climbing
1,447 ft
Difficulty
Moderate
Type
Out & Back

We had good weather, the trail was in good shape and not too difficult with a few but, not too lengthy slopes to climb. Not a lot of wildflowers, but enough to make it interesting. The headwaters of the Chattahoochee River was not really impressive, but hey, it's got to start somewhere. One would be foolish not to take the short trail down to this site just to say you been at the headwaters of a famous southern river that goes all the way to the Gulf Coast.
