Burrell's Ford - Foothills Trail - King Creek Falls

Distance
7.1 mi
Climbing
728 ft
Difficulty
Easy to Moderate
Type
Out & Back

Nice hike on a very cold day, 34-46 degrees, with partly cloudy skies and occasional gusts. The trail appears to be heavily used with lots of exposed roots and rocks along some fairly narrow ledges. Careful footing is needed in some parts of the trail. However, there are constant views and sounds of the Chatooga River which make the hike worthwhile. King Creek Falls was spectacular with a tremendous amount of water flowing over it.
