Bartram Trail - Jones Gap to Whiterock Mtn

A gorgeous day for 12 hikers to Whiterock Mountain via the Bartram Trail near Highlands, NC. The weather was great, not too hot, with bright sun. There were magnificent white clouds, especially on the three overlooks on the way to Whiterock Mountain where we enjoyed lunch with spectacular views. The hike was easy to moderate on a very well maintained rolling trail. We encountered no problems and a few wildflowers, especially the Pale Corydalis on Jones Knob. Everyone seemed to enjoy the hike.
