Victoria Bryant State Park Trails

This week's hike was on the trails of Victoria Bryant State Park near Royston, GA

Trail information

Victoria Bryant State Park has a very nice network of hiking trails. The Perimeter Trail Loop, The Broad River Loop, Victoria's Path Nature Trail along with connector and access trails. All together around 10 miles to choose from. The trails feature rolling terrain with nice river and woodland views. The trails are in fair condition with washouts present in many sections of the trails. While trails paths are quite evident, the purple blazes on the Broad River Loop are mostly worn away. The Perimeter Trail Loop is not really a loop and terminates south of Fish Pond #2. Those without a trail map may find in frustrating to find their way back to the start of the trail network at the south terminus of the Perimeter Trail Loop. Today we hiked the Perimeter Trail Loop and Broad River Loop for a total distance of 6.1 miles. Difficulty is rated as moderate due mainly to a large number of short hills

Victoria Bryant State Park is located between Lavonia and Royston on Highway 327. There is a $5 per car parking fee or a Georgia State Parks Pass. Another great day for a hike! Sunshine with temperatures from the lower to upper 30's F
