Tallulah Gorge Trails
Today's hike was on the trails at the "flooded" Tallulah Gorge, GA
Directions
Tallulah Gorge State Park is about 10 miles south of Clayton, GA on Highway 441. For the Shortline Trail, turn to the right at the traffic light in Tallulah Falls (if coming from the north) then turn right and park at the gravel parking lot at the historic Tallulah Falls Jail on the right just before the bridge. Walk across the bridge and turn right up the short hill to the start of the Shortline Trail. Another great day for a hike! Scroll down for photos

Starting point of today's Hike. We did the Shortline Trail first. View of the Tallulah River from the Shortline trail suspension bridge. The river was out of its banks. The river covers the asphalt trail here. Normally a nice spot to sit and observe the gently flowing river! They had to close the trail. The Shortline Trail! As we pass the swiming area, we see that lots of debris has washed into the lake. As we reach the dam, we see an amazing amount for flood water crashing over into the gorge below!. The tremendous roar of the water could be heard throughout the town of Tallulah Falls. Tallulah Gorge! Amazing Much more water than on a water release day! The OFHC gang for today's hike.
