Bartram Trail - Warwoman Dell - Pinnacle Knob
Today's hike was on the Bartram Trail in Rabun Co. GA from Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle Knob
Directions
Take Highway 884 East (Warwoman Road) from Clayton, GA for 5 miles or so and look for the Warwoman Dell sign on the right and turn right and park in the first parking area. Walk a short distance up the road and you will see the trail leading to the right. Follow the yellow trail markers. Another great day for a hike! Hiking distance - 8.5 miles. WILD

Leaving the parking lot at Warwoman Dell. Bartram Trail marker at the highway crossing on Warwoman Rd. Early into to the hike, we come to Becky Branch Falls. The Mountain Laurels are startiing to bloom. Beautiful Martin Creek Falls! We found this large Timber Rattler that had fallen into a pothole whirlpool and was struggling mightily to escape! This is the marker for the side trail up to Pinnacle Knob. Indian Physic / Bowman's Root We arrive at the Summit of Pinnacle Knob. Awesome views from Pinnacle! Lunchtime on Pinnacle Knob! Spectacular! Lots of nice wildflower sightings along the trail. Catesby's Trillium. The OFHC gang for today's hike.
