Appalachian Trail - Woody Gap, GA
Today's hike was on the Appalachian Trail in GA from Woody Gap northward approximately 4.6 miles and back. We saw 10 thru-hikers today!
Directions
Take Hwy. 129 N from Cleveland, GA for about 15 mi. then turn left at Turner's Corner and travel several miles to Hwy 60 (rock pile) turn right and drive to the top of the mountain to the A.T. crossing at Woody Gap. Another great day for a hike! Hiking distance - 9.2 miles

Partly cloudy and cold with temperatures ranging from the upper 20's to the mid 40's F.

Woody Gap was our parking spot for the day. Headed northward on the A.T. Preaching Rock A view from Preaching Rock! Another great day for a hike! Typical February view along the Appalachian Trail in Georgia! Beautiful hardwood forest in the mountains. What a beautiful sky! Lunchtime on the trail. Awesome! A nice panorama.
