Frady Branch Trails, GA
Today's hike was on the trails of the Frady Branch Trail System in Stephens County near Toccoa, GA. There are several trail options in this area . Today, we hiked the Leatherwood Creek Loop and a portion of the Perimeter Loop trail. Total hike - 6 miles
Directions
Heading west from Toccoa on U.S. 123 , cross highway 17 at the Jeanette Jameson intersection and continue one quarter mile and turn left onto Highway 184 toward Homer. Continue on 184 and you will pass Currahee Baptist Church and continue a mile or less and look for the Frady Branch Recreation sign on the right. Turn here and continue on the Forest Service road for more than a mile (do not take the left hand turn that you see). Stay straight and the road will come to a dead end. This is the trailhead for Leatherwood Creek. Another great day for a hike! Sunny and cold with a light wind. Hiking distance - 6 miles
