Chattooga River Trail - Highway 76 , GA/SC
Today's hike was on the Chattooga River Trail from trail facility near the highway 76 bridge on the border of GA/SC out 4.7 miles and back and a short .4 mile round trip out to Bull Sluice on the river. Hiking distance 9.8 miles round trip

This portion of the Chattooga River Trail is in excellent shape with only one large newly fallen tree across the trail
Directions
From Clayton, GA, take Hwy. 76 east to the SC state line (Chattooga River) and park at the trailside facility. The famous Bull Sluice rapids (class 5) can be viewed from this park (.2 miles). Another great day for a hike! Hiking distance - 9.8 miles Difficulty - Some hills but nothing extreme. WILD
